Visitor Tracking

Overview

Visitor Tracking is a key feature of Feat Paper that helps users unveil who are the visitors of their documents. You can identify the visitors and analyze their engagement on individual level even when you are sharing a document to public.

How it works

Visitor tracking is to track, distinguish, and analyze the visitors of your documents. The key values used for visitor tracking varies by the type of the link you shared.

If you activate the lead form with no fields selected, all visitors will be marked as “Anonymous”


Visitor list

The visitor list provides document analytics of individual visitors. While aggregated analytics give you insights into how overall visitors viewed your document, this feature demonstrates how specific visitors engaged with it. If you are on sales or CRM team and need to communicate with the customers, leverage this information to wow your customers.

Document analytics for individual visitor

You can view who viewed your document and how they engaged with it. Feat Paper tracks visitor data on individual level to provide valuable information to users.

  • Visitor Information

    • Identify visitor details like name, email, company, and phone number.

  • Viewing Environment

    • Visited at: Timestamp of when a visitor started viewing your document

    • Viewing environment: OS and device used to view the document.

  • Interaction graph

    • Revisited page: If any page was viewed more than once

    • Longest viewed pages: Three pages those were viewed longest

    • Compare with Avg: You can compare the visitor’s interaction with the average to analyze whether the visitor was specifically more interested in certain contents.

  • Interaction Data

    • Interaction level: It represents how much a visitor engaged with the document in the range of cold, warm, and hot. To learn more about how these stats are calculated, please visit What does HOT/WARM/COLD mean?

    • CTA clicked: If a visitor clicked a CTA button you’ve integrated in the viewer, it will be shown next to the visitor information.

    • Memo history: It shows whether a visitor wrote and sent a memo to other people

    • Links clicked: If a visitor clicked any links embedded in the document, it will display the link and the page it was clicked in.

Searching a visitor

You can search a visitor's history by clicking their information or using the search tab for a comprehensive view of their interactions. From the viewing history, you can analyze how the visitor interacted with the document over time.

Deleting a visitor

To delete a visitor from the list, click the ··· button next on the right corner and click Delete. Deleting a visitor will affect the document analytics such as total view counts or interaction graphs.


Exporting visitor data

To export visitor data, please use the Export button at the top right corner. It will proceed downloading process of DocumentName-Visitor.csv file. The columns in the file are as followed:

  • Email

  • Visit count

  • Interaction

  • Best page

  • Time spent

  • Communication

  • Download

  • Visited at
